Pakistan's Footwear Exports Jump 9.58% in Jul-Sep
Pakistan's footwear exports increased by 9.58% in the first quarter of FY 2024-25, reaching $45.136 million. Leather footwear saw notable growth, while canvas footwear experienced a decline.
Pakistan's footwear exports have seen a significant boost, with a 9.58% increase in the first three months of the current fiscal year (2024-25) compared to the same period last year. The country exported footwear worth $45.136 million from July to September 2024-25, up from $41.192 million in the same period in 2023-24.
- Leather Footwear: Increased by 8.71% from $33.741 million to $36.681 million
- Canvas Footwear: Decreased by 26.37% from $0.827 million to $0.609 million
- All Other Footwear: Rose by 18.45% from $6.624 million to $7.846 million
Additionally, year-on-year footwear exports in September 2024 jumped 14.85% to $14.851 million, compared to $12.930 million in September 2023. However, on a month-on-month basis, footwear exports dipped 19.69% in September 2024 compared to August 2024.
