LAHORE: A tragic domestic dispute turned violent in Lahore's Ichhra area on Wednesday, where a man reportedly shot and injured his wife, her sister, and her brother before taking his own life.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Adnan, visited the residence of his in-laws on Mohammad Ali Road, where his wife had been living after separating from him due to marital differences. According to police officials, Adnan’s actions followed weeks of tensions between the two families. Eyewitness accounts revealed that Adnan went to his in-laws' house to reconcile with his wife and convince her to return home. However, his efforts were met with resistance, leading to a heated argument. During the altercation, Adnan allegedly drew a firearm and opened fire, injuring his wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.
Following the shooting, Adnan reportedly turned the gun on himself, dying on the spot. Police were called to the scene, and his body was sent to the city morgue for postmortem examination, while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
