Initially, negotiations aimed at redirecting the march to Sangjani showed promise but ultimately failed when Bushra Bibi unexpectedly joined the protest, sidelining KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. While Imran Khan, frustrated with his treatment in prison, had reluctantly agreed to pause the march under certain conditions, the situation spiraled further out of control.
The protest turned more volatile after a vehicle struck Rangers personnel. Bushra Bibi encouraged demonstrators to keep advancing, leaving Gandapur in a precarious position, torn between controlling the protest and preventing violence.
