Azerbaijan Ready to Boost Motorway Investments for Economic Growth
Azerbaijan is exploring investments in Pakistan's M6 and M9 motorways to strengthen bilateral ties and support infrastructure development, ahead of the December 24 Pak-Azerbaijan meeting.
Azerbaijan is considering investing in Pakistan's M6 (Sukkur-Hyderabad) and M9 (Karachi-Hyderabad) motorways as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance infrastructure development. Ambassador Qasim Mohiuddin shared this development during a meeting held on Thursday, following a high-level delegation’s visit to Baku. The meeting, chaired by Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, focused on boosting investment, privatisation, and communication initiatives.
Azerbaijan’s government is keen to invest under the government-to-government (G2G) model and participate in the privatisation of state-owned enterprises. The two countries are working to enhance cooperation ahead of the Pak-Azerbaijan Joint Commission meeting scheduled for December 24, 2024.
