The ANSO Scholarship, initiated by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), provides a remarkable opportunity for young students worldwide, including those from Pakistan, to pursue higher education in China with full funding. This scholarship encompasses master’s and PhD programs, allowing international students to advance their academic careers at prestigious Chinese universities, such as the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

A Gateway for Future Scientists

The ANSO Scholarship is tailored for talented individuals with a strong enthusiasm for science and technology. Its mission is to nurture future scientists and researchers, enhancing their skills and knowledge within China’s leading educational institutions. Through this fully funded opportunity, ANSO aims to promote global collaboration in science and technology while supporting international academic growth.

Scholarship Benefits

Students awarded the ANSO Scholarship receive extensive support to facilitate their studies. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 3,000 CNY for master’s students and up to 7,000 CNY for PhD candidates. Additionally, it covers tuition and application fees, provides health insurance, a travel allowance, and even a one-time allowance for residence permit processing, ensuring accessibility for international students without financial barriers.

Special Scholarship Categories

Beyond the main ANSO program, a unique sub-category is available: the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship. This option addresses specific needs within Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and aims to support women applicants. Each year, TWAS/UNESCO selects up to 50 PhD candidates from
developing nations for additional support under this category, reinforcing ANSO’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in global education.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must be proficient in English or Chinese, born after January 1995 for master’s programs, and after January 1990 for PhD programs. The scholarship is open only to new applicants who are not currently enrolled in any Chinese university or benefiting from other Chinese scholarships.
