Haripur Press Club Election Dates Revealed
Haripur Press Club elections set for November 19, with positions like President and General Secretary up for grabs. Labour Court ensures a transparent process with observers monitoring the polling.
The Haripur Press Club has announced its election schedule, as confirmed by Ikramullah Saeed, Chairman of the Election Tribunal, following directives from the Labour Court.
The election process began on Friday, allowing candidates to submit their nomination forms between 11am and 1pm. The verification of candidates and preparation of the final list will conclude by 4pm on the same day.
Polling is scheduled for November 19, 2024, from 10am to 1pm at the Haripur Press Club premises, with results expected to be announced later that day. Positions up for election include President, General Secretary, and Vice Presidents.
The Election Tribunal, established under Labour Court orders, includes the Regional Information Officer/Deputy Director, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), and the District Bar Association President. Observers Sardar Naveed Alam and Malik Jibran Azmat will oversee the process to ensure transparency and fairness.
